Journeys through Rwanda

Six proven structures, each rebuilt around your dates, fitness, occasion and budget.

Every itinerary here is a starting point, not a fixed product.

Rwanda's compactness means trip length determines less about whether you can see the highlights and more about how much time you spend enjoying each one rather than moving between them. Volcanoes National Park sits 2.5 hours from Kigali; Akagera 2.5 hours the other way; Lake Kivu about two hours beyond the volcanoes; Nyungwe five to six hours south, or a 40-minute flight.

A couple on honeymoon and a family with teenagers can follow an almost identical route and still end up with entirely different days, lodges and pacing once we've built it around them.

Choosing a length

Five days suits a focused visit — a gorilla trek paired with a Lake Kivu unwind — for travellers with limited time or those adding Rwanda to a broader Africa itinerary.

Seven days is our most frequently booked structure and, for most travellers, the right balance: gorilla trekking, a lake or forest extension, and enough pacing to avoid feeling rushed.

Ten days allows all three national parks alongside Lake Kivu and time in Kigali, without the compression a shorter trip requires.

*Gorilla trekking carries a minimum age of 15, strictly enforced. Akagera game drives and the Lake Kivu legs do not.

Begin

Tell us the shape of the trip. We'll build the rest.

No cost, no obligation, and a specialist rather than a booking desk. Peak-season permits and the top-tier lodges book six to twelve months ahead.
